A Mirror Darkly is the twenty-second mission of the Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising campaign, and the sixth of the Yellow Comet campaign.

Background[edit | edit source]

Sonja thinks this mountain pass is a crucial strategic spot, and that Black Hole will undoubtedly show up. But Kanbei and Sensei tell her that no enemy troops have been spotted around, and therefore must have renounced to attack this location. Sonja, although confused, agrees with them.

However, some time later, Lash arrives. She is amused that no one is here to defend the place and merrily states it will be easy to capture Yellow Comet's HQ... only to be quickly greeted by Sonja, who actually waited for her to arrive, and made her believe that she agreed with Kanbei and Sensei, while she actually deployed a lot of rockets and prepared for battle.

Lash, although angered to have been ambushed that easily, thinks that her huge army can win nonetheless. Sonja, certain that her deployment strategy is foolproof, challenges Lash to try and get to the Yellow Comet HQ.
