Black Onyx is a battle satellite located 22,000 miles above earth. Appearing in Advance Wars: Dual Strike, it is considered to be Black Hole's ultimate weapon.[1]

Overview

The Black Onyx acts as the Black Obelisk's protection as it is equipped with a particle defence system.[2] It is introduced in the mission Crystal Calamity, where Kindle explains that in fifty minutes, the barrier field will be operational. Once the barrier is in place, the black obelisk will be indestructible, shielding it from all attacks.[3] As such, the Allied Nations are forced to use specially designed anti-satellite missile silos to destroy the Black Onyx's shield.[2][4] By successfully using all nine missile silos scattered throughout the battle field, the Allied Nations are successful in destroying the Onyx.
