The Family Computer (ファミリーコンピュータ), known as the Famicom (ファミコン) for short, is a third-generation console released by Nintendo in Japan on July 15, 1983. The console would be rebranded as the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES overseas.
Famicom Wars was originally released for the Famicom on August 12, 1988 in Japan only. It is the only game in the Wars series to release on the console.
