Herman's Heroes is the thirteenth level in the Battalion Wars campaign.

Intel

Your battalion of greenhorn Grunts and hardened Veterans must infiltrate and sabotage three key Xylvanian installations on Coconut Island! Liberate the Solar Empire captives held there to add extra impetus to your assault.

Order your troops across the bridge to take out the enemy infantry to the east. Climb the hill to reach the eastern fort, which houses the Communications Tower. Shoot out the Watchtowers and MG Nests and liberate the Missile Vets. Use them to take down the nearby Gunship, and capture the flag. This prevents the Xylvanians from gaining Gunship reinforcements.

Head to the northwest, and take out the two Recon units on the mountainside overlooking the central base. Roll down the trail to the central installation, the Fuel Refinery. Destroy the two Heavy Recons nearby, then shoot the Gunship out of the sky with your Missile Vets. Enter the base, shoot out the four Watchtowers, and liberate the captured Bazooka Vets. Capture the flag to claim the second Xylvanian installation.

Set out to the west to reach the Munitions Dump. To note, it is possible to can climb back up the trail and hide on the edge of the trees overlooking the Munitions Dump, where you can shell some of the enemy positions with a Mortar Vet. Otherwise, head down the path from the Fuel Refinery to reach the base, destroy the Watchtowers and other Xylvanian forces. Liberate the Imperial POWs and head south to the last Gold Star, the extraction point.

Smash through the Watchtowers and the final group of Xylvanians near the bridge leading to the extraction point to complete the mission.
