Shipyards Ablaze is the ninth level in the Battalion Wars 2 campaign.

Intel[edit | edit source]

Move out of the forest, and use the Anglo Light Tank and Mortar Vets to destroy the Imperial Heavy Tank. Shoot out the two MG Towers at the foot of the hill, then send the Grunts to clear out the enemy infantry. Capture Clapstead Heath Airbase, which will spawn two Fighter jets as reinforcements. A group of Imperial forces will launch an attack to reclaim the Airbase, so fend them off with tank and mortar fire, and leave the Tundran Gunships to the Fighters. Head out around the stone wall, and eliminate the Bazooka Vets. Climb the hill towards the bridge, and Commander Pierce will send in two Battleships to assist. Roll onto the bridge and take out the incoming Heavy Tank, and order all units into Wait Mode.

Shift control to a Battleship, and use both ships to destroy the enemy Artillery and Anti-Air Towers. Call the ground forces across the bridge, then aim a Battleship salvo at the Heavy Tank emerging from the woods. Rip apart the RPG Towers, then call the Fighters in to deal with the Tundran Gunships. Switch control back to a Tank, and order the Battleships and Fighters into Wait Mode. Lead the other ground forces into the trees, and clear out the MG Tower and infantry in the ruins to liberate the Light Tank POW. Follow the second path through the trees, and eliminate the Bazooka Vets and Anti-Air Vets on the shore. Destroy the Artillery and Grunts on the pier, and liberate the Flame Vet POWs. More Tundran Gunships fly in, so shoot them down with the Fighters. Switch back to a Battleship, and sail along the coastline, destroying the MG Towers and RPG Towers ahead. Set both Fighters in Wait Mode, and take out the Anti-Air Vets blocking the Anglo advance to the bridge. Send in the Fighters to defend against further Gunship attack, then order a Battleship salvo to destroy the Heavy Tank near the Docks. Crush the enemy Anti-Air Vets defending the Docks in Porthampton's shipyards, and capture the flag whilst Anglo Fighters keep watch for enemy Gunships.

With the Docks captured, victory looks assured. However, A-Qira will try and send a distress signal to the Solar Fleet from an Anglo Sea Fort he has captured. The player is given control of a Battleship, and has 2 minutes to use the two ships to destroy the Imperial-held Sea Fort. Blow apart the enemy Artillery units, then send both ships to attack the fortress, leaving your fighters to shoot down Nova's (neverending) supply of gunships. The mission is complete when the Sea Fort is destroyed, leaving the Solar fleet unaware of this shock defeat.
