The Cenotaph appears only in the first Battalion Wars game. It is located in the Crater of the Sun, where the armies of the Iron Legion were frozen for centuries. It is here that Countess Ingrid travels with Kommandant Ubel after stealing the sword from Kaiser Vlad. After climbing the monument, Ingrid used the sword to awaken the Legion units, which then attacked Xylvanian and Allied forces alike. The Allied nations fought their way to the crater, and after destroying the four obelisks surrounding it, were soon able to destroy the Cenotaph itself. The loss of the monument put an end to the Legion forces, sealing the portal to the netherworld from which they drew their supernatural strength and regenerative powers. | The Cenotaph appears only in the first Battalion Wars game.
