Lasers are a small, but deadly weapon used by Black Hole in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. Although they appear in Advance Wars: Dual Strike's coding, they don't appear in the actual game.

__TOC__
In-depth
Lasers are completely impassable and give no terrain stars. They cover one square and become plains tiles after destruction, although there is clearly rubble left over. They have an infinite range, and fire directly north, east, south and west. If a unit is caught in the beam, the Laser damages them for 5HP worth of damage, regardless of allegiance. It cannot destroy a unit, and always leaves at least 1 hit point.

Although Lash invents them, Adder first uses two of them in Duty and Honor, against one of Kanbei's "strategically unimportant" cities as a trap. The idea is to do one of two things - show Kanbei up as a poor Emperor for Yellow Comet, or destroy his army. Adder's plan is ultimately thwarted.

Adder later uses them in Green Earth in To the Rescue!. He uses them, along with a massive army, to besiege an Orange Star supply convoy led by Sami. Eagle leads a squadron to rescue Sami and her army.

Sturm uses them as citadel defence in Hot Pursuit. They also appear in the Hard Campaign versions of Orange Dawn and Reclamation.
