Reaching the tower, the group secretly climbed to the roof, where they activated the staff, the [[Solar Empire|Solar]] doomsday device. The staff sent a signal to an orbiting [[Solar Empire|Solar]] satellite, which absorbed the sun's rays with its solar panels, and focused them into an intense beam. The satellite took aim at wherever the signal was received from, and so set its sights on the Iron Tower. In a single, powerful blast, the intense solar energy obliterated the Iron Tower, killed [[Lord Ferrok]], and decimated his [[Iron Legion]]. The resulting shock wave carved a massive crater in the earth where the tower once stood, and would come to be known as the [[Crater of the Sun]].
