I am aware of the text which is displayed in the edit summary when a user registers, but this is much better. It creates the user's talk page and makes them feel more like they are being welcomed by people. I think it would be awesome if Wars Wiki could have a welcome bot similar to WiKirby's. It could use a Welcome template, which is constructed and used by the template which actually codes it. When in use, the bot will create the user's talk page automatically when they join, as I said above, as well as other bot things which I myself understand little about. If you decide that Wars Wiki will have a bot like this, please say so and I will try to get a hold of Adam (the NIWA's tech master in my opinion), where he can help you program it. I think Axiomist and Justin also may be able to help too, so it should be easy enough. Austin 04:15, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

:I know nothing about bots, but I could write up a template like Bulbapedia's Template:Welcome as an alternative. Easier, but someone would have to remember to check the Recent Changes periodically, and add it to the new users' talk pages. — KC 15:26, 2 August 2010 (PDT)

Policy Suggestion

After pasting enough links to pages ending with "!" I've been thinking you guys should just dump that and have redirects to all of the pages like Blizzard Battle! redirect to Blizzard Battle. just a thought. Axiomist 20:18, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The only thing I would say is that is as accurate as you can get regarding the mission names- they do have the punctuation in. I was thinking about whether we should just not use it, though. (Also, from now on there's a Wars Wiki forum for this sort of thing over at the forums) JoJo 21:05, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I would only change the names if the !s are affecting wikicode for things like tables, which they shouldn't, as most are inside double brackets for links. Hotchmoney 16:43, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Welcome Bot

Austin 04:15, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I know nothing about bots, but I could write up a template like Bulbapedia's Template:Welcome as an alternative. Easier, but someone would have to remember to check the Recent Changes periodically, and add it to the new users' talk pages. — KC 15:26, 2 August 2010 (PDT)
