The Cenotaph appears only in the first Battalion Wars game. It is located in the Crater of the Sun, where the armies of the Iron Legion were frozen for centuries. It is here that Countess Ingrid travels with Kommandant Ubel after stealing the sword from Kaiser Vlad. After climbing the monument, Ingrid used the sword to awaken the Legion units, which then attacked Xylvanian and Allied forces alike.
