Japanese name

A semi-common translation of Sturm's Japanese name that I've seen in a few places (most notably Wikipedia) is "Herr Böse", a psuedo-German name which literally means "Mr. Evil". However, I also found this page which indicates that "Herr Böse" is a mistranslation. Besides, although the Japanese language doesn't differentiate between L sounds and R sounds, it most certainly does between E and U sounds. Ergo, ヘルボウズ (or Herubouzu) cannot possibly translate as Herr Böse.

Just before anyone quibbles... --Nebula 13:59, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That argument is not convincing. German and English words which are incorporated into Japanese are mangled pretty strongly. Herubouzu could very well mean Herr Böse. Please also consider how unstressed vowels tend to often be indistinct, so your point about differntiating between E and U sounds is invalid. --2001:16B8:188E:1400:C8B8:C86D:3E08:C02
