• June 15, 2021 — At E3 Nintendo announces the release of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp for Nintendo Switch!
• February 14, 2018 — Wars Wiki moves to new hosting with ABXY!
• February 14, 2013 — Congratulations to NIWA, which celebrates its third anniversary today!
• March 30, 2012 — NIWA welcomes its twenty-first member, Dragon Quest Wiki!
• March 27, 2012 — Congratulations to the newest members of NIWA! F-Zero Wiki became a full-fledged member on March 16, and the latest addition, Icaruspedia, joined up on March 23. The third wiki set to join this month will do so on March 30.
• December 3, 2011 — Say hello to our new affiliates: F-Zero Wiki and SEIWA, a sister network to NIWA for Square Enix games! Be sure to check them out!
• April 28, 2011 — Another week, another wiki. Be sure to check out NIWA's newest member, Starfy Wiki!
• April 21, 2011 — Four months after the previous addition, Fire Emblem Wiki has joined the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance!
• March 20, 2011 — Message from the Webmaster: It is with regret that I have to announce this. On Friday, 18th March, friend and major contributor Axiomist passed away. It has come as a great shock to the NIWA community as a whole. More information can be found on ZeldaWiki, here.
• January 1, 2011 — Message from the Webmaster: Happy New Year to all of our visitors and contributors alike. Here's to another year of improvements!
• December 24, 2010 — Message from the Webmaster: With Christmas looming, I would like to wish all visitors and editors of Wars Wiki a merry Christmas, and all the best for the new year. Many thanks for all your hard work.
• December 10, 2010 — The latest addition to NIWA is their in-house project, NintendoWiki!
• November 30, 2010 — Don't forget to check out the latest addition to NIWA, Golden Sun Universe! The next new member is expected on December 10.
• November 27, 2010 — Message from the Webmaster: I would just like to offer an open welcome, and deepest thanks to the set of new members we have recently seen adding to our ranks. Your contributions, however large or small, are really appreciated by everybody involved. Also a belated Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans (and Canadians for several weeks ago)!
• November 19, 2010 — Another Friday, another addition. Say hello to the newest NIWA member, Animal Crossing Wiki!
• November 12, 2010 — Donkey Kong Wiki, which details everything in the DK universe, is the latest addition to NIWA. Another member will be revealed November 19.
• November 5, 2010 — The newest wiki to join NIWA is WikiBound, with a focus on the Mother and EarthBound games. The next wiki is scheduled to join the alliance on November 12.
• October 29, 2010 — The final addition to NIWA this month is SmashWiki, which details everything relating to the Super Smash Bros games. The next member is set to join on November 5.
• October 25, 2010 — Two matters from the Webmaster: Firstly, apologies to anybody who experienced internal server errors in recent days and weeks; after much investigation it has now been rectified. Secondly, to those without AdblockPlus: your eyes do not deceive you, but on the left hand side you do see adverts. Worry not, that is as intrusive as they will ever get, but I took the decision to install them on here, since they've been on the main website (in places) for a number of months. I hate to bring up the finance side, but I'm much more comfortable with relatively unobtrusive adverts than begging, which I will never do. If you have any feedback on this, feel free to either leave it in the Talk Page.
• October 15, 2010 — The third wiki to join NIWA this month is StrategyWiki, a wide-reaching project that offers strategy guide and walkthrough info for thousands of games.
• October 8, 2010 — The newest inductee into NIWA is two-for-one. Pikipedia, the Pikmin encyclopedia, and its sister wiki Pikcanon-NOT (for Pikmin fan creations) are the latest additions to the alliance.
• October 1, 2010 — Lylat Wiki has been accepted as the newest NIWA member. Two more members are to be added this month; the next will be revealed on October 8.
• September 24, 2010 — The NIWA hub has updated with a handful of new affiliates, including wikis that cover the Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros, and EarthBound series, as well as StrategyWiki.
• August 13, 2010 — We are pleased to announce another new ally - Lylatwiki!
• August 6, 2010 — Major Announcement: Please join me in welcoming Wars Wiki's first Administrator, KC-Earthshaker! He will be taking over from myself (JoJo) in the day-to-day management of this Wiki, though I am still the founder and will remain as an Admin myself. From now on if you have any queries, please direct them to him.

• July 28, 2010 — Major Announcement: Wars Wiki is now looking for an administrator to take over the day to day running of the Wiki, and to promote the continual growth it is currently experiencing. If you're interested, apply here by the 6th August!
• July 15, 2010 — Well done, and many thanks to all contributors for helping us pass the 300-article barrier! Here's to many more!
• June 5, 2010 — A major announcement- we are now a part of NIWA, also known as the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance. To learn more about the alliance, please read over the mission statement. To remain with NIWA we need to keep up our quality and activity, so as ever, if anybody feels they have something to add, just follow the register link and get editing! It would be much appreciated!
• May 29, 2010 — Again, I'm happy to announce a new ally in Gamehiker, the wiki for all first- and second-party Nintendo game series. Be sure to check them out!
• March 16, 2010 — We've reached the 200 article milestone! Many thanks to the contributors who have put so much work in, both new and old!
• March 14, 2010 — New affiliate: Mario Wiki!
• March 13, 2010 — I'm pleased to announce that Wars Wiki is now affiliated to two other Nintendo Wikis: Wikirby and Zelda Wiki!
