'''Von Bolt''' is the leader of [[Black Hole]] COs in [[Advance Wars: Dual Strike]]. In addition to the other Black Hole COs, three new officers, [[Kindle]], [[Koal]], and [[Jugger]], are introduced as his most trusted minions, the [[Bolt Guard]].

Von Bolt is an extremely elderly man from the country, confined to a wheelchair and surviving only due to the use of a life-support system. He views himself as successor to [[Sturm]], and takes control of the [[Black Hole]] forces. Internal strife between the Black Hole COs eventually leads him to turn on [[Hawke]] and [[Lash]], sending his prized [[Oozium]] to eliminate them. His plan fails, and the two pair up with the [[Allied Nations]] in order to help take out Von Bolt and his [[Bolt Guard]].

Von Bolt wants nothing more than to drain [[Omega Land]] of its energy and use it to extend his lifespan. Needless to say, this does not go over well with the [[Allied Nations]], leaving the old man with only his loyal [[Bolt Guard]] by his side. His attack power drops to 90% when paired with any [[Orange Star]], [[Blue Moon]], [[Green Earth]], or [[Yellow Comet]] CO.
