Hello

I just joined myself, noticing I could help this wiki with some templates and such, but you seem to be much more experienced with Mediawiki/template syntax than I am. It would be nice if you would comment on what I wrote on the Community Portal. Also, the CampaignPrevNext template looks great! :) ~FireFly tc 10:47, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks, I really don't consider myself experienced, but I've been contributing to Bulbapedia [1] for almost a year now, so I guess practice makes perfect! Luckily, it's not really all that difficult to learn (at least for me), the best way is to find code or a template you think you can use, and try to modify it to suit your needs. But thank you for the compliment on my first template! =] — KC 10:58, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You're welcome! Also, would be great if you could alter Template:Unitlist/entry so that {{{first}}} set to "yes" makes the unit name bold, and leaving out unit type doesn't create a wikilink, but just a plain '—'. I'll watch how you do it, and hopefully learn from it! ~FireFly tc 13:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Do you know if it's possible for administrators to move image file pages? Or should I continue to reupload wrongly named images, and ask an admin to remove the old ones? I really think it's a good idea to be able to get the small sprite picture out of just the unit name, so you don't have to supply both unit name and image file name. ~FireFly tc 20:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I would assume they can. Actually, if we have all the images in a standard format, it would be a lot easier to code. If all file extensions ended in ".png", for example, we wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of a ".jpg" image popping up. That way, we could set it up with {{{unitname}}} for the actual name listing, and [[Image:{{{unitname}}}.png]] for the image. Like Neotank and Neotank.png, for example. — KC 20:27, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
