An Airbase is a facility introduced in Battalion Wars 2.
Once captured by either the player's forces or the enemy faction, an Airbase will manufacture air units to support its allied forces. The units produced depend on the mission. If any of these aircraft are destroyed, the facility will provide additional reinforcements to replace them.
