Black Hole is the main antagonist in the Advance Wars series. Originally headed by Sturm in Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, Von Bolt rises to power in Advance Wars: Dual Strike following Sturm's disappearance.
Black Hole is not present in Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Why?

Black Hole, being the antagonist, is the villain of the Advance Wars storyline. They attack all the nations, starting the war and committing crimes in order to take over the world.
