Volcanoes are large mountains that spew hot magma. They appear in two missions, one in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising and one in Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Volcanoes are completely impassable and give no terrain stars. They cover sixteen squares, in a 4x4 square. They launch globs of magma in a set pattern once each day. Any units hit by the magma suffer 5HP of damage.
The first volcano is seen in the Black Hole Rising mission Rain of Fire. In a desperate attempt to weaken Green Earth's army, Hawke instigates a conflict around a volcano in Macro Land.
