Battle Maps is the mode where you can buy new maps, Commanding Officers and miscellaneous items. It is owned by Hachi in the first three instalments of the Advance Wars series.

It is possible to buy maps, Commanding Officers, Advanced Campaign and Map cases in this game.

Commanding Officers
- Nell: Unlock every other CO and clear the Advanced Campaign. Price: 100 coins
- Grit: Choose Max for the mission Max Strikes! then clear Campaign. Price: 50 coins.
- Drake: Choose Andy for the missions Captain Drake!, Naval Clash!, and Battle Mystery!, then clear Campaign. Price: 60 coins.
- Eagle: Choose Sami for the missions Captain Drake!, Naval Clash!, and Battle Mystery!, then clear Campaign. Price: 80 coins. (Will force a bonus mission to occur after final battle.)
- Kanbei: Clear Campaign. Price: 50 coins.
- Sonja: Clear Kanbei Arrives!, Mighty Kanbei! and Kanbei's Error? in 8, 10 and 12 days, then clear Campaign. Price: 60 coins.
- Sturm: Unlock every other CO except Nell then clear Campaign. Price: 100 coins.
Miscellaneous
- Advanced Campaign: Clear Campaign. Price: 1 coin.
- Special Map: A map case filled with old maps. Price: 100 coins.
- Vs. Map: A map case for Vs. maps, some maps included. Price: 50 coins.
