Black Armageddon

Black Armageddons are basically giant versions of Missile Silos. They appear in four levels over the course of two games.

In-depth

Black Armageddons are completely impassable and give no terrain stars. They cover twelves squares, in a 4x4 square.

The Allied Nations face five Black Armageddons. In Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, Olaf and Andy team up to take out a Black Armageddon being controlled by Flak in the T Minus 15 mission. In this battle, the missile is powered by eight generators in cities surrounding the Black Armageddon, and the missile was powerful enough to destroy half of Blue Moon's in one blast.

Later, they face a more powerful Black Armageddon controlled by Sturm himself, on the Final Front mission. In order to prevent it from launching, the newly formed Allied Nations have to destroy the Deathray protecting the Black Armageddon within the space of 30 days in order to be able to assault the base of the missile. This is accomplished, and the Macro Land invasion is thwarted, after Hawke kills Sturm to save himself, but he stops Sturm from detonating the Black Armageddon there and then.

In Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Rachel faces a Black Armageddon controlled by Jugger in the mission Reclaim the Skies. The missile has already been launched, and she only has a few minutes until the impact to rout the Black Hole units there which are navigating the missile.

Kindle then threatens to launch two Black Armageddons in the Surrounded! mission. This time, the missiles are powered by generators concealed within com towers. In order to protect the towers, she uses a clone of Andy and attempts to hold off the Allied Nations for 18 days. She fails, and the towers are captured.

Although Lash invented and presumably installed the Black Armageddons, she neither commanded one nor named them - the name "Black Armageddon" was in fact coined by Kindle, and the missiles were unnamed prior to Surrounded!. Colin refers to them as "Black Hole mega missiles", but this isn't an official name.
