Rachel, as she appears in Advance Wars: Dual Strike

Rachel (Japanese: レイチェル Rachel) is an Orange Star Commanding Officer in the third game in the Advance Wars series: Advance Wars Dual Strike. She is Nell's younger sister and the Commander-in-chief of the Allied Nations' Omega Land forces.

Role

Rachel serves as the main tutor Jake (and the player) in Dual Strike, as well as the boss of all the Allied Nations COs.

Personality

Rachel is a slightly bipolar CO - she's usually friendly and supportive, but if you get on her bad side for whatever reason (be it insubordination, calling her ugly or wasting fuel) she will let you know about it. Despite (or maybe even because of this), the Orange Star soldiers consider her a "breath of fresh air".

Relationships

Rachel has a great level of respect for her older sister and immediate superior, Nell. However, the two of them do exchange banter whenever they are in contact with each other. Similarly, Rachel acts as a mentor and older sister of sorts to Jake. She is also on good terms with the rest of the Allied Nations COs, even if some (such as Max) annoy her from time to time.

On the other hand, she shares the worst tag affinity in the game with Koal. This is due to an exchange of insults the two had in the Neverending War level.

Skills

Day-to-day: When on an allied property, Rachel's units restore 3HP instead of 2. This, naturally, costs more than healing 2 HP.

CO Power: Lucky Lass: Rachel's units get a chance of doing up to 30% more damage for one turn, on top of the standard CO Power boost of 10% attack and defense.

Super CO Power: Covering Fire: Three missiles are launched at the enemy. They are self-targeting and impact as follows: the first missile targets the most soldiers, the second one targets the most expensive group of enemies and the final missile targets the most units. Rachel’s units get 10% extra attack and defense.
