Artillery units are indirect combat ground vehicles. They are used for attacking other ground units, as well as sea units. They are found as standard units throughout the Advance Wars series. They are known as Mech Guns in the European version of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.

Basic statistics

Grit has one of his Artillery units attack Adder's Medium Tanks.

The following statistics apply for Advance Wars, Advance Wars 2, and Advance Wars: Dual Strike:

  • Cost: 6000
  • Movement: 5, tread
  • Fuel: 99
  • Vision: 1
  • Weapon 1: Cannon
  • Ammo: 5
  • Range: 2-3
  • Targets: Infantry (strong), vehicles (strong), navy (weak), subs (weak)
  • Weapon 2: None
