Max Strikes! (Max)
Max Strikes! is the fourth mission of the Advance Wars campaign. Before the start of the mission Max is introduced for the first time; it is however possible not to use him. This article is on the mission where you have picked Max. In doing so Grit is used in The Final Battle! as well as making him available for purchase in Battle Maps after clearing the campaign.

Background
During this mission, Max joins up with Andy and the Advisor to reinforce their contingent. After the battle against Green Earth in Air Ace! they move back to the Orange Star mainland, where Olaf is once again their enemy. Nell contacts them, pleased to see Max there, remarking he has not changed a bit.
In the meanwhile, Olaf revels for having deployed several battleships and medium tanks, ignoring Grit's warning of the dangers of Orange Star submarines.
After the mission, Max asks Andy what he thinks of his firepower; Andy replies by saying he could never deal as much damage; as long as he doesn't use his indirect combat units. Nell cuts in, telling Max he is clumsy before waving the pair off, saying they should work together and get along.
The next mission is Sniper!.
