Scorched Earth is the sixteenth level in the Battalion Wars 2 campaign.

Intel

Start off by calling a Flame Vet attack on the incoming Xylvanian Bazooka Vets, then send the Anti-Air Vets to shoot down the enemy Gunships. Move across the field, and another wave of enemy Grunts and Bazooka Vets will approach. Use the Tundran infantry to eliminate them, and blow out the MG Towers ahead with an Template:Bw volley. With the first area clear, take a minute to check the Map Screen. From this point, there are three different paths leading forward. While each only leads to a Secondary Objective, capturing the central Airbase and the eastern Factory will earn the player Gunship and Light Tank reinforcements.

Move out to the Airbase, and use the Template:Bw units to shell the enemy Anti-Air Vets from afar. Send the Tundran Anti-Air Vets to shoot down the Gunships while other units destroy the Auto-Guns. Ground the Xylvanian Air Transport before it can land, then send the infantry to capture the facility. This earns the player a pair of Gunships.

Order the other units into Wait Mode, and fly the Gunships over to the eastern Factory. Destroy the Auto-Guns and Light Tanks, and send in the infantry to capture the facility. This earns the player a pair of Template:Bw. With the Factory in Tundran hands, another group of Xylvanian Bazooka Vets move in to re-capture it; roast them with the Flame Vets. Liberate the Bazooka Vet POWs, and lead the other units back to the central path. Use the Gunships to take out the two Light Tanks to the north, then use the Template:Bw to shell the Anti-Air Towers and any remaining Bazooka Vets near the Helipad. Activate the Helipad to call in reinforcements, and shoot down the two enemy Air Transports before they can land.

The western path has been turned into a minefield, and Private Hazard of the Western Frontier has found himself in the middle of it! Order the other units to wait near the Helipad and approach the area with only a single foot soldier. Change the camera view to help detect the mounds of fresh dirt, and carefully meander through the area to reach the imperiled infantry on the bridge. Turn and walk back the same way, and the Private will stay close by. Join up with the other Tundran forces at the Helipad and head west to help out the Frontier allies, who are under attack by Ubel's forces. Destroy the Bazooka Vets and Light Tanks, and prepare for the Primary Objective ahead.
