Lash is a Commanding Officer in the Black Hole army. She is introduced in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, and is first seen in Mission 5 of the campaign, Lash Out.

Role

In Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

Lash is a new Black Hole CO in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, and is shown to be the prodigious genius that developed most of Black Hole's new weapons and military technology. She is the primary opponent in the Blue Moon campaign of Advance Wars 2, Though she also appears in the Orange Star and Yellow Comet campaigns. In this game she appears childish and destructive, not caring in the least for her troops and more concerned with "playing games".

In Advance Wars: Dual Strike

In Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Lash is one of two returning COs in the Black Hole Army (the other being Hawke). In the few missions where she is the enemy CO, she proves to have the same childish personality as in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. After Hawke questions Von Bolt and the Bolt Guard, she and Hawke are declared traitors by Von Bolt, which results in both of them joining the Allied Nations in their fight against Black Hole. From this point onward she is a usable CO. At the end of Advance Wars: Dual Strike's campaign, it appears that Lash's personality is changing for the better.

Skills

Lash gains firepower bonus from terrain. Her firepower bonus is a constant number while the defense bonus depends on the unit's HP (as for every CO). Her powers allow her to ignore terrain penalties to movement and double her terrain effectiveness.

She receives a huge nerf in Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Her firepower bonus from terrain is halved and her powers are further crippled by Sonja's terrain reduction ability, which works before the doubling of Lash's terrain stars during SCOP.

In Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

• Day-to-Day (D2D): Lash's units gain 10% firepower per terrain star (air units are not affected).
• CO Meter:
• CO Power: Terrain Tactics — Lash's movement costs become 1 on each terrain in clear and rain weather, identically to Sturm's D2D. (Standard +10% defense.)
• Super CO Power: Prime Tactics — Lash's terrain stars are doubled and her movement costs become 1 on each terrain in clear and rain weather. (Standard +10% defense.)

In Advance Wars: Dual Strike

• Day-to-Day (D2D): Lash's units gain 5% firepower per terrain star (air units are not affected).
• CO Meter:
• CO Power: Terrain Tactics — Lash's movement costs become 1 on each terrain in clear and rain weather. (Standard +10% firepower and defense.)
