Beachhead is the eighth level in the Battalion Wars campaign.

Intel

Our focus of operations now shifts to the Dune Sea. The Xylvanian air fleet is moving en masse to control the Nerocite fields inland, and our outpost at Fort Omaha will bear the brunt of the invasion spearhead. Reinforce them and repel the invaders!

After Countess Ingrid's surprise attack on both Frontier and Tundran forces in the previous mission, it's clear now who the real culprits are. You must defend Fort Omaha from the Xylvanian assault!

In this mission, your forces must defend the Frontier outpost in the Dune Sea. Roll your Heavy Recon out to the fort, and use the few minutes of uneasy peace to strategically organize your units around and inside the fort. The Xylvanians are intent on capturing Fort Omaha, so you'll need to prevent them from reaching the building. Send a few infantry into the bunkers in front of the fort, place most of your forces outside the base, and leave a few inside to guard the flag. It is a good idea to defend the flag yourself, as the other Frontier units are not as concerned about it. Stave off the enemy Air Transports, and watch out for Ingrid's Bombers!

The mission is completed when the Bombers are destroyed, though the flag must not be captured nor the AA Vehicle destroyed before then.
