Base Capture is the third mission of the Advance Wars Field Training.

Background

Orange Star has to storm the Spire Hills, as they should be able to force the Blue Moon army to withdraw should they win. As a response to Blue Moon fielding two Mech units in the previous battle, the player has been granted control over two of the units him or herself.

Nell goes on to explain that the area is crucial to the defence of the Alara region, which justifies the presence of four Blue Moon Tanks in the region. She tells the player to ignore them for now as they can not reach their units, and to focus on capturing bases instead, explaining the details such as how funds is obtained.

At the end of the battle she congratulates the player, and re-affirms that all funds obtained is lost when a map is cleared.
