APC ABCs is the fifth mission of the Advance Wars Field Training.
Nell says that her superiors are quite pleased with the player's work and that she herself is pleased the Orange Star forces are deployed before the Blue Moon forces are, especially now there is an Artillery unit in the ranks. She is worried about its condition, but not that of the APC the player has been granted to use.
The Artillery unit is in poor condition as it is out of ammo and nearly out of fuel; it cannot move nor fire in this condition. However, the APC is able to fully restock the unit of ammo and fuel, so the situation is not hopeless according to Nell. She then goes on to explain several game mechanics that the player will need to use over the course of the game, and concludes by issuing a warning on indirect units; they cannot move and fire in the same turn.
