Gunfighter! is the second mission of the Advance Wars campaign. It is the first mission where Grit, the Blue Moon CO, is encountered.

Background

After leading the Orange Star army to victory over Olaf in It's War!, Andy and the advisor move the army further into Orange Star land, most of which is still occupied by Blue Moon forces. It is then that Olaf orders his subordinate Grit to assume command for the next battle, which the latter does despite not liking it; he even goes as far as to claim Blue Moon is greedy, as the land they were on was not theirs to begin with.

It is after the battle that Andy and Grit speak for the first time, in which the Blue Moon CO uses the nickname "junior", striking a nerve with the Orange Star CO; A recurring theme used in the Advance Wars Campaign.

The next mission is Air Ace!.
