Max Strikes! is the fourth mission of the Advance Wars campaign. Before the start of the mission Max is introduced for the first time; it is however possible not to use him. This article is on the mission where the player has picked Andy.

Background

During this mission, Max joins up with Andy and the Advisor to reinforce their contingent. After the battle against Green Earth in Air Ace! they move back to the Orange Star mainland, where Olaf is once again their enemy. Max and Andy start off poorly, Max calling Andy a kid and complaining about having to act as a nanny; like with Grit, Andy adamantly opposes being patronized, saying he does not need a nanny–whatever that is. Nell calls Max out on it after the battle, removing the tension.

In the meanwhile, Olaf revels for having deployed several battleships and medium tanks, ignoring Grit's warning of the dangers of Orange Star submarines.

The next mission is Max's Folly?.
