The Staff Bearer is an infantry unique to the Solar Empire. The Bearer is only playable in the prologue mission of Battalion Wars 2. The Bearer's role was to take the Staff of Qa-Len to the Iron Tower and end the Lightning Wars.

Empress Qa-Len's original plan was to deploy a Strike Battalion to take the Staff to the Iron Tower, but the entire battalion was wiped out by a Legion Bomber. The Staff of Qa-Len was then retrieved by a lone Grunt which supercharged his weapon and granted him a shield, allowing him to single-handedly fight his way through dozens of Legion forces. However, his weapon would fuse out and he was forced to command a squad of surviving Grunts to handle the rest of the fight to the Iron Tower.
